JAWS for Windows is a screen reading software that uses a computer synthesizer and sound card to read all information on the screen aloud. It also has the ability to output information to a refreshable Braille display for Braille literate users. Individuals who are blind or have severe low vision and cannot use the monitor to take in information could benefit from this software. JAWS installs with an enhanced, multi-lingual software speech synthesizer, "Eloquence for JAWS." Languages include: American English, British English, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, French Canadian, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Finnish.
